sky sail group
hi, wondering if anyone uses the sky sail group? got an email from them about their payment options, sounds a little too good to be true to get paid every week for all your signings from the previous week for only a 3% charge. thanks for sharing your experience.

It does not say anything about getting paid every week for your signings. Don't think I missed it.

The way it works is you input your signings in for the week before 11:59pm Sunday and the tracking numbers have to be inputted and showing in either UPS/Fedex before it will show completed. You will get emails stating whether it was approved or if its still pending. All the orders that are approved by the deadline are paid on that Wednesday. So yes you can be paid EVERY WEEK and pay day is EVERY Wednesday. Yes its 3% per order. So if you input $1000 worth of work. It equals out to be about $30 fee.
One of my mentoree loves it and as been using it for a month now. Also you probably will get a better response on personal experience if you go on Linkedin. There are alot of folks on there talking about their experience.
You can always use the contact us on their website and ask them questions, they are pretty fast with their responses.

If you are not getting paid on over 3 percent of your revenue, you need some new customers. If you collect all but less than 3 percent of your revenue, you don't need it.

Ditto MW/VA and ToniK
I've asked one of the principles, Brent Killinger, a few question and he responded right away. His answers were informative and IMO honest. I haven't subscribed to the service nor am I selling it. Just sharing in this discussion.

Re: Ditto MW/VA and ToniK
I am still on the fence, leaning off not doing it...my 1st question is how does a business operate on just 3%? (97% going out to pay you to collect just 3% on the backside to run their business and make a profit??) My second being, if they go out of business, how are you sure you get paid? My third is handing my business over to a 3rd party to collect my money and paying me, and insuring me under their umbrella policy. I like the control, and do not think SS would respect you if you say "send my checks to Skysail", share their information with them because I do not think you pay or are fast enough... in essence you are their employee of Skysail, and you get your 1099 from Skysail not from your various SS. Just too many loop holes for me, and would really have to see a good contract, in case Skysail defaults, or goes out of business, or the direct deposits stop being deposited, as to recourse to collect. A judge would laugh at you for jumping into that without a lock solid contract, and could not find one online. I love Kris K to death, just too much riding on this for me to jump on board right now, especially when a lot of my SS are doing direct deposit. The risks do not weigh the benefits for me, and 99.9% of my SS pay and I check them out before accepting assignments.

Not a new concept….except the ‘charge’ to send our payments in a timely manner. My favorite SS sends me an order for a signing, I do the signing and send the package to title (No invoice required) the following week the SS cuts checks for the jobs completed/closed the previous week. (they only do this once a week, not every day, and weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday signings may ‘carry-over’ into the following week.) I usually get my check the following week. So I get paid (like clockwork) sometimes in 2 but always within 3 to 4 weeks from signing….for no charge.

IMO, this is an option for those who want to reduce their
risk, bookkeeping, etc. It's a guaranteed weekly check for ALL signings run through the system. I wish something like that was around when I was starting out. Yes, I agree that questions should be directed to Skysail. There's also a video on their website that explains the process.
