text job offers
I rec'd a call from ServiceLink tech guy today explaining that when a text offer is sent out, we need to know that it is not a blast text but only goes to an individual and is good for 10 mins. Even if we have to decline, we are supposed to go into the web link and hit decline.
I explained that sometimes we are driving when those texts come in and it is not possible to answer it. Last night one came across - I was on the expressway and there is no place to pull over to safely answer. He said he totally understood that and in their last meeting they have decided that starting in June to ask each notary how they want the offers to come in....phone, text or email.
I'll take a phone call please....

I'm not always sitting on my computer, nor reading text on my phone. I, too, prefer a one-on-one phone call.
For what it's worth, landline phones were timed to ring 10 times within one minute. I don't know if that holds true with cellphones, but is sixty seconds really too long to wait before calling the next potential NSA?

I got a telephone call today asking me how I liked the email request they send out for closings? I said I usually do not get them..I prefer telephone calls so I can speak to a live person..They thanked me for my input..and within 5 mins I got an email request for a closing..This is fine if I am sitting at my computer..I did accept the job..lol

Telephone w/ 3 rings for me, too ...
Particularly driving, with customers, or simply have phone in brief case at the time. Easy to see phone #, call and whether voice mail then search for a text message and read it.
