witnesses on FL documents
I am doing a signing on a purchase loan for property in FL. I know you need two witnesses on the DOT, There are other forms that have places for witnesses: Affidavit of one in the same as, correction agreement/limited poa, closing affidavit, homestead exemption. Thanks for the help

IS there a DOT for this loan? FL uses mortgages
by statute, mortgages do not require witnesses; however, some counties have their own witness requirements so it could be dependent on the location of the property.
Deeds of Conveyance require two witnesses - so if you do, in fact, have a Deed of Trust, you'll need 2 witnesses - you can be one if allowed by YOUR notary laws.

Those are title docs you're referring to - I'd as hiring
party -they may have their own ideas.

She said purchase loan.
All purchases need 2 witnesses for the deed/s. The others are dependent upon your laws.

too fast...
Many companies want 2 witnesses on the mortgage if purchase. Check with your hiring party.

Are you sure that there is DOT? We use Mortgage here. n/m

It is a mortgage rather than DOT. Sorry. Again, my question was do the other docs that I listed also need a witness? They are not required in Colorado. The loan was for a purchase in FL. Thanks again.

The answer to that is going to be specific to the
company requesting it. You should really check with them.
