Accolades to Companies who Pay Stellar Performance Bonuses
I received a check yesterday in the mail for June 2013 Performance Bonus.
More than the tangible amount of the check is the recognition and appreciation shown by this vendor to its top performing NSAs.
Awesome...wish there were more of these vendors on the planet! Thank you, Servicelink.

Congrats on your bonus! But, isn't this the same ServiceLink that just laid off 300 title workers recently?

And took 6 weeks to pay me for my first signing with
them because someone changed my vendor number and failed to notify me.
I'm less than impressed with them - have worked with many much more efficient companies.

I too have had issues with their payment system. They are not the best at comunicating how they have you in their system. I finally got someone to stay on the phone and walk me thru it. I printed it all out, and now, I can do it myself, but what a nightmare! Other than that, they seem to be great!

I've had nothing but great experience with this company. The staff is very supportive and responsive in the many years I've worked with them.
They are in the top 10 companies I perform signings for consistently.
And yes, a lot of companies are laying off now that the refi boom has slowed to a crawl. There is still purchase and sale, however.

Got my performance bonus for June also. I haven't had any payment issues in over two years, but when I did they were more than helpful. Turned out to be pilot error,,,ME.

Aw, shucks, Clem
You should be used to playing second fiddle to 101!
I was (and still am to a large degree) in the same boat in my area. There are notaries here who had been in the biz for decades before I came along. I soon learned I got their overflow ... . One time I got a request from a well-known SS with whom I was doing lots of business to go to a house and pick up a gazillion envelopes and take to FedEx. Huh? I wondered. Turned out they were loan signings their No. 1 notary had done but for some reason couldn't get to FedEx himself (?). Sure showed me my ranking.

Hang in there, Clem
Remember, Cheryl's post that she's planning to retire in about 5 years.

Re: Hang in there, Clem
My five year plan may extend into a ten year plan, given the recent events in our industry...just so you know I'm in it for the long haul.
It's no accident, Clem, I got into this business and forged relationships that have endured through thick and thin and that reputation has served me well. Timely, competent, reliable, knowledgeable, professional, it all counts. It's been a long successful stint that I've enjoyed immensely. I only work for the very best in this business.
I hope the same for you...
