Sadly they will continue to exist until more notaries provide current updates and reveal the truth about them. If a notary accepts a signing for a reduced fee, allows that ss to pay them at their leisure and I mean 30-45 days, there is no need for a notary to even wait 30 days to be paid by a signing service. You are providing the signing service with credit, most ss are paid within 2 weeks, wake up notaries. Times are continuing to change, slow times and the ss delays payment to you at an even slower rate. These people want to make a buck off your back, wake up. While I will admit there are a few exceptional companies out there that operate as signing services, most are vultures. It's called working smart.....don't provide them with Dollar Tree Rates...... This reminds me of a law office, while pleasant charming and friendly, they want to hire notaries to notarize their very thick, very lovely embossed estate planning packages. IF you will accept a fee of $75.00 in total, this includes trip, time and all notarizations, which is approximately over a dozen....so Mr. Attorney is not even paying the allowing ten dollars allowable in CA. The client has the lovely embossed estate planning package for you, the law office gives the client your name and phone number from an approved list of notaries they use. Notaries wake up, the estate planning package can be 1500-1800 dollars, the lawyer wants to use you and wants you as cheap as he can get you so every dollar is his.
