Bought a new HP laptop
Couldn't get it to recognize the legal drawer my husband and I spent hours with it. The printer was fine with letter size. Finally I called the "Geeks" cause I bought the HP from Best Buy (a good deal) after 4 hours of screwing around with the computer the tech calls me we are talking and I'm telling him my other two computers have no issues with this printer and it dawns on us does the new HP have Adobe? Of course not HP has installed it own program. So beware folks if you buy a new HP take off the HP program and install Adobe!

Is your printer an HP as well? I would think if both were, all you'd need is the HP software. But then I'm a Mac guy...we don't have those kinds of problems. ;-)

Yes, I got a new HP desktop a few months ago. Hated it came with Windows 8. Had problems opening up some pdf files, so I installed Adobe and haven't had a problem since.

Good luck with that. I don't buy anything from BB, and I'd
never use their Geek squad. I hope you didn't end up spending a lot more than the great deal was worth.

Ended spending $50 to fix the problem. And yes the printer is an HP. I tried calling HP they were useless. Can't understand anything they say. I buy mostly HP with exception of a Brother 2 drawer. Brother is noisier then HP a good product though. The HP is Windows 7 professional with 4 gig and Core I3. Under $400.00. It's a nice machine fast.
