Destroying Documents

I will be doing a Debt Settlement and the company wants the docs faxed back (no problem). They have said once they receive them, they will call me an order the originals destroyed and not sent via Fedex. Has anyone ever done this? TIA

Yes. All you do is hang onto them until they let you know they were received, and then shred them.

More important ....

why are you working for a "debt settlement" firm? In any case, please make sure you are not sending postdated checks back to the hiring agency. That's against CA law.
