FL notaries: updates from Governors office

It has been discussed here that some notaries are administering one blanket path for a stack of docs, and there has been a debate as to whether or not this is acceptable. The governor's office advises that this is acceptable, as long as the person signing has had a chance to review the documents before the oath is administered, I.e. they can't swear to a document try haven't yet read.

Also, the governors office has advised that a United States passport card is acceptable as ID for notarization purposes.

More to come!

Thank you Robert!!

Have you heard if they're going to issue a new manual with these changes? Or maybe a supplement clarifying the issues?
