And talk about insecure, unprofessional sounding address, this is it: Hotmail. ugh!!!
Sorry for the hijack Jim. No, I don't use Hotmail.

I use a hotmail account for my junk and spam
although my email addy doesn't even refer to is as Hotmail, so it still sounds professional. You can name it whatever you want -- or at least I've been able to since the '90's.

Your original reply talked about being insecure. What did you mean?

not private; easily hackable.

Re: I don't know if you are or not....are you?
Obviously you are under educated. There is a difference between insecure and unsecure. Check the dictionary. I asked if anyone else was having a problem and got a stupid critique. I checked your recent replies and you contribute nothing to this forum. You are my list.

Jim, I think you attitude toward her is uncalled for
"under educated"? Totally uncalled for but typical of your attitude on this forum at times.
If you read her post it's clear she was referring to hotmail. She's not under educated, but apparently you can't read.
Sorry...attitude and arrogance like yours just irks me.

....yes "Hotmail" name has always given me the impression of a chat service for people online, from when it first came out...in the 90's ??

Insecure vs unsecure..... look in the dictionary and know the difference before posting or replying. That's all I'm saying.

Msg #480486 was the message I was referring to originally when I posted; I apologized for hijacking your thread. I never attacked you in any manner. After you asked, I did query if you felt insecure, but got no real response. You did decide I used the wrong word, and I guess I may have, although I do have to wonder why you had to ask a few times if I thought you personally were insecure. I also have to wonder why you thought you were so important personally to be spoken of in the first place. Did your insecurity peep out?
Now, you have said: "you are my list." Does that sound under-educated? Not misspelled, just the way it sounds?
I think you didn't get your cookies and milk tonight - I'm sorry for that.

" I guess I may have" Try looking at the dictionary for the difference between insecure and unsecure. There is no guess. When I post, I expect replies that help me with my problem. Not replies telling me I am unprofessional and insecure. READ YOUR REPLY. And Linda, when I get responses like this I will have attitude and respond in an arrogant manner.

You might want to consider trying to extend the length of your short fuse. When I read that post, I assumed it was a typo and that she meant "unsecure". It's even possible that it was an auto-correct mistake, because it's not even in the dictionary I checked. But in the context of the original post, it was what made the most sense.
I can't imagine why you would think she was talking about you. As for your response to Linda H, where you said "that's all I'm saying...", I don't think the problem was so much with what you said, but with how you said it. Your point could have been made much more effectively without the personal attack.
This thread (and all too many others here) offer a great example of how things get off message and the point gets lost when comments become personal.

All I asked was is anyone else having a problem with Hotmail. Then I got attacked by the dragoons that prey on this site.

Jim, it must be a regional thing maybe. I didn't have any problems a few minutes ago. Hope they get it working if that is your only email addy.

I had Outlook trouble with the same error message yesterday Jim. I'm in Boise so it must have been in our area? Anyway, I haven't had any further issues.

One last reply. Thank you to all that replied with solutions and similar situations. That's what this forum should be. Issue seems to be resolved at this time and I do have a back-up email addy if needed. Thanks again.
