It is quite unprofessional that we cannot add deadbeat

companies into SC when they have a notary listed.

What is the reasoning/excuse for this? How can this be justified?

I have only one company who in all my years is a true deadbeat. Can't add them.

I honestly would like to have the reasoning behind this explained.

I'd like to be able to add a few more characters to explain the situation also!

How would it be a duplicate company listings? They would

only be listed once in SC.

The way it is not defeats the purpose of SC.

Yes, I'll name them when I calm down.

Maybe I should have said the "potential" for duplicate company listings.

If a phone (or fax) number is already in use, another listing cannot be created with that number.

I agree that the current system prevents companies from being listed that should be, most often when someone with a notary listing decides to branch out as a signing service.

Since you can't add 'em to SC, would you mind naming them here on the forum and telling us about the issue so the rest of us can try to avoid them? If you do, please name them on subject line.

Thanks!

I'll also bet they know about that trick & get a notary

commission for just that purpose. Ughhhhh! ;-(

Something else that needs fixing is being able to see every

company, whether they do business in your state or not. How does NR know when/if they start doing business in our state? Seems way too big a task to keep up with. This practice can hurt us more than it will ever help us.

Yo, Linda...WE control what states a company does biz in...

WE have to 'choose all states' when entering a new company in order for the co. to show up.
I STRONGLY urge everyone to choose 'all states' (follow the directions given to do this) because, even tho' they are currently operating in 'not all states'--that can change in a heartbeat. Worst that can happen is that people will try to get in a database.
