Odd Sized pages
Recently I have been running into a recurring problem. I go to print a loan and I get a third of the way through it and realize there are odd sized papers in the loan package. The exact size says: 8.27 x 11.69". No matter what I do, the pages either print with the top cut off or the bottom cut off. I have tried every variation I can think of, choosing the pdf selection, fit, actual etc...Nothing works. Anyone else have this problem? How do I fix this?

That is A4 size paper. It was incorrectly scanned in for the wrong size. I print those pages on legal size paper. It is faster than fighting.

Well, here's the weird thing. I went to my husband's office and they came up as normal sized paper. He has a MAC. How can it be that it is an A4 size on my home computer and then show up as a normal 8.5 x 11 on a MAC?

Perhaps his settings are different.
I find that I need to fiddle with the settings and then those docs print correctly.

They are A4
If you try and fit these to letter size paper, you may end up having some of your recordable documents reject for incorrect margins. Your better off leaving it up to the hiring party how they would like you to handle it, get it in writing. If they do not believe the size is A4 take a screen shot and email that to them as your prove. A NSA should never have to stress about work done incorrectly before they received it!

I use a Mac most of the time...I only use a PC to print docs.
I have a feeling the Mac is automatically resizing it to fit the default paper size. I think Macs are perfect in almost every way (sounds like Mary Poppins!), except for being able to print on 2 sizes of paper in the same batch.

I select "shrink to printable area" and also un-check the box "choose paper source by pdf size" and it will print on the size I have the printer default set to, which is letter size. If that doesn't work, then I would set the default paper size to legal and print it on legal. Sometimes "fit to printable area" works better on a particularly screwy scan.

Re: Have never had one rejected.
After having a discussion with an IT guy at Chase, he concludes that Title Source is "massaging the data/file. In other words like re-writing the file. It changes after Chase sends it. I got the feeling like he was basically telling me it wasn't their fault but contact Title Source. To me, the end user, this is a waste of my time, money, paper and toner. All of these companies want you to print in a certain way: Document and Markups, check pdf paper size etc. This is all confusing to me and a pain in the butt.

Yessss LatteLady, it's a big pain. Me too, but just this past week or so, can't recall if it was TS. But, I find the bad page & print it legal. The ones I ran into were printed on legal as that is the default preference frequently stated "if you don't have a dual tray printer". I do spend some time printing & checking over the package. I want to find the "Notary Instructions" before I sit w/the borrowers, not in the middle of the signing to find there's specifics such as "black ink" "collect funds", which are sometimes located in the middle of the file. Hopefully, our hiring parties who cruise the board will see this & send a memo to someone? (I still look for the Easter Bunny too.)
