I'd make nice with the Borrowers - I'll let them know the
nano-second I know something, place the signing on "pause," and call it good. What else is there to do? (Do you have a spam folder to check?)

Yes, I agree. That is certainly the best way to handle the unknown, Susan.

has a disaster struck WFG today? another notary showed up
kind borrowers just called me & I explained they double-booked this signing. As I turned down another more lucrative signing I don't think I'll work for them EVER again. Pretty crappy (pardon my crude language) that no effort whatsoever was made for any response to my contacts to them. Actually, I'm hitting the "rate" zone next to give them my personal not even a prong on the star blast.

Re: located in Westlake Village, CA
rec'd email it had been cancelled. Sure, I don't include lying in my business plan--ever. They went with a cheaper notary, so they'll probably get what they pay for. Does this sound "bitter"? Actually, I am probably spared from chasing my $ from them.

Wow...I've had nothing but good dealings with them, and usually get paid within 2 weeks. Sorry this happened to you!

Here's the deal Robert522TX,
You are one of 2 Notaries in Anderson County, Texas, 2, that's it 2.They have to pay someone in your area and right now you're it. Keep in mind, that might not be the case later on. I've noticed over the years this type of payment complaint is usually followed by someone who gets paid.No wonder. I wish I only had one other person in my area.

Re: Here's the deal Robert522TX,
Actually, contrary to your belief, there are several other NSA's in this area, although they aren't listed on this website. Just as in other areas, my fees are not always approved, and I am not a "shoe in" to get all the business around here by any means. Did not say the OP was not being truthful at all; sorry they have done her that way. Just stating my experiences to date with this company.

Re: located in Westlake Village, CA
Sadly, I believe it's become common practice for the words "it's been cancelled" to be code for:
* We found someone else cheaper; OR * We found someone who didn't ask us about our payment policy, etc., etc.; OR * Another signing service found someone before we did (only for ss work, naturally); OR * Our escrow officer decided to do the signing herself to make a little extra on the side; OR * We decided to give it to one of the office staff we just laid off this afternoon; OR * [__________________] ???
Yes, folks, it's deja vu - all over again...
I've learned to accept that and let it roll off my back - most of the time. It still smarts big-time, though, when you had to pass on other work you could have done because someone didn't take the time, or have the decency, to let you know.
