24 7 The Nationwide Notary Network
Just received a call from Tracy. She wanted me to do a closing for her because she has a lot of work in my area. She says she pays $125 to start and will work with me on price for large packages (over 80pgs). Well.......I came here and checked and low and behold, I find a poor rating. Gee, she was quick to tell me it wasn't her and wanted to know what year these bad comments were made. When I said 2013, she insisted that's not her. She did, however, confirm her past address of San Clemente, CA, she is now is AZ. It was obvious at that moment that I was not going to work for her and have to chase my money. So she quickly said "have a nice day" and hung up the phone.
Thank you NR and all the Notaries out there who post here. You all just saved me a lot of aggravation! I want to wish everyone of you a Happy Holiday and Happy New Year!

I would've tried to work something out like payment upfront
via PP. But I don't blame you for backing down. Very recent bad comments of non-payment...not good...

Re: I would
Haha, funny thing is we didn't even get that far. As soon as I started reading some of the comments she hurried off the phone and simply said, "it's sad I can't add you into our data base, have a nice day." And then she hung up.

"it's sad I can't add you into our data base, have a nice day."
It's only sad for her because she didn't enlist another sucker.
I'm always willing to give a company with low stars a chance *IF* they have recent positive history. So, let's say they had a bunch of 1-2 stars 4 years ago, but in the last year have a lot of genuine 4-5 stars. I would at least talk to them and try to negotiate something.
But if recent history shows a pattern of the same thing... sorry. Chasing money on low paying jobs is not worth my time or effort. I'd rather work for the companies who respect my time and pay me what I'm worth. It's funny how the timely paying companies are also the ones who pay well. Funny how that works, isn't it?

Have been working for Tracy for several years
Tracy has always been good to work with and I have never had a payment problem. Last week she assigned me a closing. When I got the docs it was 249 pages and did not include borrowers copy. I called Tracy and she immediately apologized as she had not looked at the docs and uped my fee beyond what I would have asked.

Meant to say: Don't look back, Lisa!
Tracy's organization is one of the all-time worst. Yowheelz must have the magic touch, working for two of the top 10 worst SSs in the industry (Global and Tracy) and gets paid! She's the only one as far as I know. So you did good to steer clear. Tracy clearly hasn't changed her stripes over the years. You would have been chasing your $$ into the next decade. Yay for SC.

I agree. She's good at PR (or BS is a better description).
I always had to chase payment & wait, wait, wait (60-90 days). I dropped them a couple of years back.

Hello there. I'm a notary in CT. I started as a notary in November of 2011. 24-7 was the first company I started signing for. Tracy was my first call. She has never ever stiffed me. She takes a while to pay. I think the most I waited was 60 days, but she has never ever not payed me. She's really great to work for. She's loyal to the notaries she has. She has always worked with me on price as well. If I take a signing that is a little farther than I want to go, she has always tacked on more money and If the package comes in and it's bigger than it ought to be, she adds more for that too. And 3 times now I have had emergencies and needed money fast. I asked her to pay me up to present. She got me out a check the same day for all the closings I had done for her. She's has been really good to me professionally. On top of that, she's been good to me personally. My first emergency was my father passing this year. I told her I wouldn't be working for a while. She got me out my check and sent flowers to his funeral. And then I had a child and I couldn't work. She got me out my check, found my registry online and sent me a gift for my daughter. I honestly find it hard to believe that she hung up on you. But, maybe she was in a hurry. She does get really busy over there. I've never met her and she's been nothing but great to me on all levels. I would highly recommend working for 24-7.

Several weeks ago Tracy called me at 8 PM with an emergency. She had another notary on the way to a closing and needed a document package printed. I agreed to do it and have the other notary pick it up at my house. She assured me that I would receive payment promptly and I did. Within 10 days. She also promised that I would receive closings from her and I have been very busy with her work. Now to payment. I called her this morning as I have done a significant number of closings at $125 and I was concerned about the A/R building too high, even though we are still within terms. She cut a check immediately and I expect that I will have the payment by early next week. She always seems to be available by phone or will actually return voicemails in a timely fashion. Tracey is Awesome and I will hopefully continue to work for her and take all the closings I can get.

I have been working with Tracy and the staff of 24-7 Nationwide Notary Network for a number of years and I can say with all honesty I have never had a problem with getting my fees paid. I enjoy working w/ Tracy and staff as they are very professional but very peronsable to work with. They stay on top of getting the loan pkgs to me in a timely fashion for the scheduled closings and should any loan pkg be larger than 150+ pages, they are more than willing to compensate. There are never any fax backs and they always supply the return shipping labels. If for any reason a second trip is required, they readily compensate for this second trip. I have been a real estate paralegal/Notary Public for over 46 years and I can guarantee with all certainty that this is a great company to work with.

I appreciate the good and bad that everyone here has posted. I, also, will give signing services a second chance but when she hung up on me, I figured that was it. I also am not in a position to be chasing money. I see that most of you working for her have had to call her for your money, I don't believe that I should have to do that. The companies I work for pay my fee, no questions asked and they pay me within the terms we work out. Most pay at 30 days which is fine with me. I have some that pay within 2 weeks, that's even better.
I'm sure Tracey is a nice person, she was pleasant on the phone. I just didn't like the comments that I saw in SC and most of them were within this past year. If I saw the last 6 or 8 posts as positive, I would have no problem with taking the job. For me, I sit on the sidelines and those working for her can keep on working.
Thank you again for your comments.
