269 page loan application

I received a call yesterday to assist with a loan application in my town. I had not heard of this company before..She stated it was a loan application..wants to know if I could do this in the next couple of days? I replied Yes..Almost immediately I received the confirmation and seconds later the documents..I looked in SC for this company and the rating is a 2 star..I decided that it is not someone I want to work with..I then look at the the documents..It was 268 pages!! Wow..loan application for a RM..Thank goodness I turned this back..That would have taken a couple of hours..I dont have the time for a signing that long at EOM and a holiday week to boot..The fee was OK for a standard package..but not one of this size!

I turned it back immediately! She called and begged me to do this..Told her that I cant fit this in my schedule. She then emailed me trying to make me feel bad..then she increased my fee..I still said NO..She emailed back and said it was rescheduled! I feel sorry for that NSA I hope they check SC..

That many pages for a RM app is ridiculous. I've done quite

a few for AAG--they include the borrower's copy with "sample docs" of the Notes, DOTs, etc. Also, they have their "servicing guide". IMO we shouldn't be asked to print all that, and some of it should be mailed. IMO they're taking advantage of having them print on our dime. I do have to say I've been paid a fair fee for these, and have always gotten the final signing, too.

Typically you only print one set, or half that. When you print one set, about half-way through you should start seeing the customer copies which are genrally marked "Sample" with a starting page that says
customer copy. Lot of notaries think they must print twice.

Still, two star......

Re: 269 page loan application yes, correct Bear900...I

Bear is correct..About 110 pages are the signing set..then BOs copy and then abut 50 pages of samples..with a few extra added signing pages on the end..then there was a second attachment with a few more pages..Still large package to print..And a 2 star company..Im glad I turned it back!

I am not naming the company..I do not want to bash them..They didnt do anything but call me and when I turned it back they wanted the job filled..I understand because of their low rating they may have problems finding someone else..but then again..We all have to do our own due diligence..

Don't care about the SS but am curious about the lender

I've done applications and closing for 3 or 4 different lenders, AAG, ReverseOne to name a couple and have never seen an application pkg larger than 150 pages including borrower copies.
I understand your not wanting to name the SS but it would be helpful to name the reverse lender so if we get a call for an application signing, we can be prepared. tia
