ASAP Pro Notary Services - Lisa Harrow
I really enjoy working with ASAP. But, and there is a major but, I do expect to be paid in a timely manner. ASAP is getting slower and slower in payment. Monthly invoices are not responded to and calls to Accounting are met with promises that never materialize. Right now almost 90 days behind and no response.

Nothing new here....they've been slow for years. I quit accepting signings from them 3 years ago as payment became net 55. Too bad you took work from them by ignoring at least 3 years of warnings - both in Signing Central AND the orange search.

It's a shame they can't get their act together & pay on
time. They lose out on getting good notaries that way.

Lisa called for a signing nearly one year ago (28DEC12) and I shared with her the negative comments in SC (via screen shot) regarding accepting a signing order from her.
She was quite offended on the phone and wrote back with the following, which did not 'match' what our colleagues reported in SC:
"I appreciate all that you say but again you are looking at a small picture each month in making a judgment about my company. Please know I always support the notaries and I provide a 30 day option for the notaries. I have listed my number on Notary Rotary so that anyone can contact me with questions or issues which you will not see from most companies and which if I did not have intentions of making payment would never list. I understand in this economic climate everyone needs to be careful and I understand your concerns, but again we pay everyone. I have noted your payment restrictions on your profile and have updated the staff.
Thank you, Lisa Harrow"

I've been told the same thing, but have always had to
chase my payment (60-90 days). How is payment a "30 day option"?

I always liked this company and the folks there
are very nice. I've not had an issue with payment, just a bit slow. I would work for them if they could meet MY fee, and paid w/in 30 days. But this is NOT the same for some other SS I've worked for in the past.
Its hard for SS right now, but these folks, were always very nice with me. I wish them well and do hope they stick around.

Re: I always liked this company and the folks there
There is no 30 day pay option. I had heard that before, and does not exist. I took my last closing from them 5 months ago, and took over 80 days to get paid on that one. No more, and wrote Lisa a letter to please remove me from their list of closers because of late pay. Years ago was 30-45 days tops...this is totally unacceptable. If they do not have the capital to pay their notaries on time, I just see this getting worse and worse. With declining business, notaries will have to even wait longer for their checks. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is no way to operate.

I spoke with an Eric McClean yesterday (404-984-3121) and was told my payment was overlooked. He said check would be cut today and mailed Monday. We shall see.

They are very nice people. It's too bad that they aren't paying quicker. I hope things turn around for them.
