Bundle Up Out There.......8 Below in Minnesota....

......and it's going to be even worse tomorrow they say. Not only is it cold out, but the few inches of snow we got earlier in the week has turned into solid sheets of ice on some roads and of course driveways, sidewalks, and front porches.

Stay safe everyone!

Yes.....I think up north of me in Duluth they got a couple of feet of snow. We only got a couple of inches here in the Twin Cities area. It's that cold front moving through that we are dealing with right now. Temps are ranging anywhere from 3 degrees to negative 11 degrees and the wind chill is 25 below zero. Brrrrr.......that is just too cold.

I often say I'd rather it be cold than hot. I can usually find some way to cover up more against the cold, but you can only remove so many layers before you're not decent in public Wink

James, come to Southern California

Crestline and Big Bear Lake.....this time of year it's usually in the 20's and 30's during the day and 4 or 5 degrees at night. The Record Low for Big Bear Lake is -7. I live next to Mt. Baldy - about 15 minutes and about an hour from Crestline and Big Bear. I love mountain driving and going to the snow in Feb. and March. That reminds me...I need to get snow chains.

It's about 20 here in Grapevine, TX right now...

... with the temp expected to go much lower overnight. Plus we have about 1/2 inch of ice on the ground, and there are no sanders or plows to clear the roads so we just have to wait for it to melt. Which may not happen until some time next week....

It's ironic - I left NY partially because I couldn't stand the winters anymore; here I am stuck in my apartment because of an ice storm, while they're having a mild winter up there so far...

Oh well, I don't have to be anywhere before Tuesday. I've got food, heat, cable TV and a working internet connection, so life is good. I just hope I won't need an ice pick to get into my car...

Pegi,

come up here to Fargo and enjoy tomorrow morning's temp of minus 25...25 BELOW ZERO...

that's with no wind chill.

Better yet...don't come here...just be patient and it'll reach you tomorrow or the next day.

And the rest of you to the south...the worst may be yet to come
