Cold season

Woke up with the worst head cold and chest congestion this morning. Felt it coming on last 24 hours, but kept saying no. Got on the phone at 6AM to let my clients know they needed to reassign my orders for the rest of the week. My question is: How do my fellow NSA's handle getting sick.

Exact same way you did. I would hate to think I did a signing and infected another family with my head cold or possibly the flu. Signing services and title companies have always been very understanding. Get well soon!

You did the right thing, it happens. Nothing worse than going to a closing and your nose is dripping like a faucet... and visa versa. Hope you feel better.

I got sick last year the day after Christmas. It was fever, etc., and I called all my hiring parties for scheduled appts. to have them reschedule.
IMO it's best to stay home, take care of yourself, and not spread the germs around.
Too bad the borrowers don't understand that. I've been many places where they were sick & I don't have a great immune system.
Hope you're feeling better soon, Jim. ;-)

I use essential oils and supplements

That's my Plan B.

Jim~ I feel if you have a clean SS record and don't call in sick on a routine basis then you are fine. I believe you did the right thing too by not spreading your germs.

Any one that has been an employee before, and worked around co-workers, know of those that are habitual about calling in sick. The likes of Sun Flu or Bottle Flu come to mind! LOL!!

I will sometimes take out a surgical mask while I'm signing to protect myself from sick customers or to protect them as well. Also, tell your customers to keep their pens after the signing. Finally, use copious amounts of hand sterilizer and wash your hands several times during the day. Good Luck!
