Dead Beat Service

Bryan's Signing Service , Jennifer Bryan. I did a signing on 8/20, invoiced by never paid. Have sent copius emails, calls. Finally called 1st American. Next day got an email saying payment would be sent. No check.

I've always been fair. Called/invoiced and been patient. Others should know before taking an assignment that this could happen to you. There is no answer on the business line and she is not taking cell calls, just goes into voice messaging.

My Husband is disabled. This business is what I do to keep things going. IF you know of another number or had this happen to you recently, please private email.

No. Rudeness is not part of this forum, is it?

I'm just not that motivated these days,

so I am asking because I truly NEED to understand the motivation behind working for a badly-rated company. Where's the dangling "carrot?"

Unfortunately, people on this forum can be rude.

In the future, if you receive an order for a company that you haven't worked for in the past, click on the 'Signing Central' tab and see what information is posted. Don't work for a company that has fewer than 3 stars, and even with that many stars, check the comments.

Re: Did you discover Signing Central just TODAY?

I just finished researching the 3.5 star rated companies. There were only twelve that also had positive comments in the search button that I would work for. The rest had either gone out of business this year or had very negative comments on the search button. For me, 4 star plus, or more, and that also have good ratings on the search button is really the way to go. There are some 4 star and plus that recently have taken a dive in the comment on the search button. For those it will take time for their star rating to drop. Takes time each time I research (every 6 months) but I get paid for every job that I do so it is worth the effort. JMHO

Not trying to be rude, but the members on this forum hear this everyday. Did a job, didn't get paid, complain on NOTROT, but didn't check SC to start with. What do you expect when you deal with a marginal company. Check SC in the future with all due respect.

Agree with Jim...and to add

It took me about 5 seconds to discover Bryan's Signing Service is a 2 star company. The reviews going back to 2011 show they are deadbeats. It is your business who you accept work from. With that said, if you choose to accept work from non-payers that means you give up the right to complain WHEN they don't pay. Not "if" they don't pay....WHEN they don't pay. Those reviews are there in SC for a reason - as a WARNING that what others experienced, you will also experience.

Going forward, review a company BEFORE you print docs. Also use the orange search button to find out what more is said about a company. Sometimes you may be out running errands or away from your computer when you accept a signing. Always check out the company BEFORE you print docs. If the reviews are bad, call and give the job back and tell them why. Otherwise, you will be working for free.

Lisa, you talk better than me.

My message to all notaries out there is use Signing Central. It will save you from working for free.
