Texas Notaries - does anyone know if it is mandatory to print the deed of trust on legal size paper for county filing?

Not a Texan, but believe the general movement everywhere has been to letter size for recorded docs.

Some counties here will take legal, but they charge extra for it.

I'm a TX notary.....

Last 4 Quicken's I have done went overnight to the borrower. All DOTs were printed on letter size. I always print them on letter size also. Hope this helps.

In California

County recorders charge extra if a deed of trust is submitted for recording on legal size paper, like $3.50 per page, I believe.
