Does anyone agree with the following?
Per Mr. Blum, LinkedIn one day ago, partial quote from his reply to an OP in the Mobile Notary Signing Services forum:
<<As the owner of a nationwide signing service I can tell you there are too many notaries with valid commissions that are very capable of completely messing up a transaction because they have no clue what they are doing. I am including anyone that has been certified as a signing agent by NNA, NotaryRotary, redacted - Numbers site or anyone other than Notary2Pro.com. Anyone that thinks they can take a 3 or 4 hour course and think they know how to properly conduct a signing is not facing reality.>>
Was very interesting reading to say the least. Wow, what does Notary2Pro training have "better" than the rest I wonder?

Athough I disagreed with him with his suggestion, re: volume for reduced fees (for which earned me "black listed" from his service), I have to agree with his assessment that simply "earning" a "certified" or an equivalent so-called designation automatically makes an NSA "qualified".

I will agree with John. It is much more than a class.
There is much training involved, and investment of time, money and lots of energy. It is an ongoing process. Even a N2Pro person is still just fresh off the assembly line and hasn't the experience, finesse and savvy to pull off a signing under other than ideal conditions.
I would challenge anyone new....it just doesn't come from book-learning.

Re: I will agree with John. It is much more than a class.
I have to agree also. It is way more than a class. If I remember correctly, I believe it was the NNA running ads on Monster.com years ago for just anyone to sign up to be a NSA. It takes years of experience and training to become an effective NSA, CNA what ever you call us. I do not believe there is a single website, whether it begins with numbers or the word Notary that can effectively train anyone to be a good notary in just one class.

That is so wild in a way - my mind automatically inserted that NOT as I understood your intent knowing you from all previous postings.

The training I encountered three years ago via NNA was not the end all for me to become a confident and effective NSA. Not having come from a real estate, lender, or title background, the language and documents were pretty much foreign to me. I certainly studied more than the 3 or 4 hours that Mr. Blum indicated. I studied everything I could get my hands on including the training itself (both on-line and book),The complete Handbook of Loan Documents and Transactions, looked up info on the Internet, followed the Notary Rotary Forum religiously, and also took time to study real time documents with each closing as I began to take NSA appointments. The more closings I did, the more comfortable and acquainted I became with the with documents and variety of instructions from different lenders/title/SS's.
My mission was to learn as much as possible and therefore become a notary that would provide this occupation a good name. I did not want to be one of the notaries talked about on Notary Rotary where another notary had to clean-up my mess. To my knowledge, that has never happened.
My point being, that it doesn't matter which company you are trained by. What matters is the investment you put into constantly increasing your knowledge so you become a NSA that lenders, title, and SS's want to call and know you will successfully complete their closings.

Notary2Pro training
I have taken both NNA and Notary2Pro training and in my opinion NNA does not compare. Notary2Pro offers more in depth training, explanations, examples and how to info. One of the things I like most about Notary2Pro is having access to Carol to get questions answered at the signing table, or before a signing. This a lone has been invaluable to me. I have take both of Notary2Pro's courses and would recommend Carol Ray.

Notary2pro offers aftercare.....that is better.
How many vendors have websites (N2P) dedicated to it graduates for followup.....free.
Carol's graduates (new or not) display the confidence instilled through the training process. They can reach out to her to talk, ask a question, get assistance with a problem......hard to mess up a job when you got 900 other notaries willing to help you out.

What Notary2Pro's training has better than the rest is Notary2Pro's owner, Carol Ray! She will guide you through sets of loan documents making sure you understand how that document should be executed. I learned so much from Carol. I had two certifications prior to taking the Notary2Pro's course. I was not comfortable accepting an assignment and I did not accept any assignments until I took the Notary2Pro course.

I did watch a YouTube video that I thought was interesting..
but didn't agree with some of her "techniques"....but this a job where to each his own I guess.
There are many other videos out there that are quite funny as well.

"As the owner of a nationwide signing service I can tell you there are too many notaries with valid commissions that are very capable of completely messing up a transaction because they have no clue what they are doing."
Then why hire them? Have you never thought about questioning notaries to determine what they know before assigning them a job? Of course not - you just need a body quickly that will work for a cheap fee...
You get what you pay for. The notaries that know what they're doing won't work for the low fees the signing services offer. You want notaries that can nail it every time? Start by offering them what they're worth.
" Anyone that thinks they can take a 3 or 4 hour course and think they know how to properly conduct a signing is not facing reality."
And neither is he - there are a lot of notaries who probably know more about how to conduct a signing than he does because they've done hundreds of signings; he just doesn't want to pay for that level of experience. So he's left with a bunch of folks who don't really know what they're doing, and he wants us to believe that it's somehow OUR fault.
Look in the mirror, pal - the problem is you.

An OBJECTIVE comparison from someone who has taken more
than just N2P training might be useful, but the "advertising" in the responses leaves me thinking....
"Brought to you by the very fine on-line retailer of notary products and services...Notary2Pro" (Advertisers click "here" to get your reward points. Reward points redeemable only in the on-line store.)

How about you telling your experiences ? that would be
more objective.
Let's see, I took the XYZ Course, learned most of the things I knew in the very beginning from a very nice owner of a SS willing to mentor me and..here. Been on ALL the other sites, found 1179 vendors in Ca charging between $29 up to $400. Besides the owner of the SS, NOBODY ELSE cared. That's my experience.

LOL, Love the artist plug in your profile...
"I am also an artist with a preference in Watercolors, Charcoal and pastels. My art can be viewed on the website below, select random Pics."
I also took NNA cert., it left me wanting....(to punch them in the face for wasting my time and money.)

Re: LOL, Love the artist plug in your profile...Thanks for
the reminder I forgot to correct that. As far as waste if time and money? Waste of money for sure but the class taught me that even the biggest vendor of them all gave out the incorrect information.
FWIW when I first started I used to work (GNW) for this guy named Matt Valera. He would give me assignments (he has all the top spots (zip codes) in my area) take ten - $15 off the top. I would collect the checks made out to him and he would pay me. Then I found out who is daddy was..............
