Elite Signing Services in California
Just completed my first signing with this Company but they are not listed here, anyone have any experience with them? I worked with Amanda Johnson. Thanks!

Re: Great company!
Not at all. It's just that there are many companies who will fade away, who have faded away all year due to slow down in business. Unfortunately, many have hired notaries, failed to pay notaries after they were paid and slammed their doors shut. Just be careful that you only work for the best companies by checking them out in SC first. The SS Hall of Shame is growing in numbers, unfortunately.
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Glad to hooked a good catch!

I am very careful, this one caught we a little off guard, no time to check but really wanted the work. It is tough out there for sure. Thanks for the input and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Re: Great company!
"no time to check but really wanted the work"
That's completely understandable - but that's exactly what she was getting at. It's that mindset that's keeping the bad companies in business - "I know they don't pay quick or don't pay a lot (not that you said this but it's been said) but times are tough and I wanted the work" - tough times don't diminish the expertise, ability and value of the notary - and when all notaries and SA's realize this, they'll stop taking work from the bottom feeders.
We can't stress enough the importance of, no matter WHAT, check SC before doing the job and if the company is no good, turn it back. If we all did this, eventually the bad companies are going to be unable to place the orders and they'll lose their TC contracts and maybe, just MAYBE, either the TC's will contract us directly or they'll hook up with a GOOD SS who values and respects the notaries.
This may be a good company - you only have the word of one notary; this may NOT be a good company - if it is a good company, you got lucky by doing the job THEN asking about them. I wish you luck and hope it all works out well in the end.
I'd ask that you please list them in SC then link this post for future reference...AND ratings.
Happy New Year!!

BTW, there is no longer any loyalty
to signing services. Title/Escrow will contact multiple companies to make sure the order gets filled, who ever confirms the notary first is the winner. I've watched this happen in my area. Especially at monthend/yearend for tight deadlines.

Kimberly Kline - There is ALWAYS time to check
It matters not *when* you accept a loan signing....you may be out running errands and get a call and accept the job. It's understandable that a person is not glued to their computer (desktop, laptop, tablet, etc). However, you can absolutely check out a company *BEFORE* you print docs.
If you've been reading this forum at all, this has been said numerous times......again, review a company BEFORE you print docs. If they are deadbeats, then return the job or you'll end up working....for FREE.
