My thoughts are that this information is from 2007..Procedures may have been changed since then!

Claudine, I know, but not point of my post....
what is interesting about this is how FNF REALLY feels about the NNA, and its certification and bg program, and I quote:
"1. The Company is not in favor of a background screening of our employees.
2. GLBA is 7 years old – there is no new requirement for background screening of our employees or approved notaries.
3. NNA created the background screening program as a money maker for their organization. There is no legal requirement for any title insurance company to comply.
4. The criteria for the screening is unknown. (A felony conviction?)
5. Applicants receive an insignia on their profile proving they passed the background screening. Those who do not pass and those who do not apply receive no insignia as an indicator that they did not pass. How fair is that?"
They too had agreed with the majority of us, then the new standards came out in the CFPB bulletin and they ran like a bunch of scared rats to the biggest trap in our industry, then the SPeW group was born....tadaaaaaa....

I couldn't help but notice that XYZ deleted your post
and the ensuing discussion (with regards to this), from its' LinkedIn Group.

They did?? Well, I can only expect then
that Harry and Co. should soon be in receipt of another "delete or else" letter from them
The amount of discussion here about this organization recently is sure to raise eyebrows. They did it before (hence leading to the reference to "XYZ") - would not be a bit surprised to hear that Harry has received another warning from them.
Not saying they don't deserve the bad press they're getting - they just don't like it and won't tolerate it.

Here's how to prevent posts from being deleted
No organization (including XYZ) has legal grounds to request a post be deleted as long as a poster makes sure that they write either completely factual statements or CLEARLY state that what they are writing is their own personal opinion. If we're careful about those two details, I don't believe that there's any risk - at least on this forum - of having posts be deleted.
As for issues unrelated to XYZ, the other key factor is to make sure that the post is directed to the subject at hand, remains civil and doesn't wander off into personal attacks or political commentary. For those of you who are new to this forum, you may find this hard to believe, but we've all gotten much better at that part! Have you all noticed? It's been quite a while since there's been a knock-down, drag-out free-for-all here. (Maybe the trolls have found some other places that are more fun to pick on. I'll leave it at that...)

They must have had to hire full time staff to delete all
of the negative posts. Seems every time I try to click on a notification link, it says "sorry we are broken, or no longer available"

Re: They must have had to hire full time staff to delete all
I should have clarified that my post was directed to Linda's comment about deletions here on Notary Rotary. Were you talking about the deletion on the XYZ site? (I never go there, so I wouldn't know.)

Yes, I was talking about all of their sites
they have so many different ones on FB and LinkedIn. I see people post so much on some notary site, but it appears it's owned by xyz. How do you know who is the host and has the rights to these miscellaneous FB and LinkedIn pages? Is there an easy way to tell?

I think they have a lot of nerve trying to control this site
Many of us are speaking from our experience with that org.

I deleted the post because I kept notices from readers
that the link wasn't working...so I guess when I deleted my post, the whole thing got wiped out.
But it wasn't long after I posted the link that it was unlinked from its original ip or website it was on.
Luckily I downloaded it first as a pdf.
