FNF purchase of Lender Processing Services got FTC approval
In case you like to keep track of who all the players are, as well as who is on their team, this might interest you. The merger was originally announced/proposed this past May,
"The Federal Trade Commission cleared the deal on condition that Fidelity National sell a copy of databases serving six Oregon counties to preserve competition, according to a statement today by the agency. "

Bye, bye LSI ...
They had been one of my high-volume customers, but with my refusal to sign FNF's poisonous release form, I doubt I'll be hearing much from LSI after the merger is complete.

Re: Bye, bye LSI ...
Oh, My! My biggest client is LSI. So, does this mean that the business we've been getting from LSI is now all going to come from FNF? I've never done any FNF work...so have never been faced with signing their release form. So, it will be interesting to see if FNF intends to foist that form on all of LSI vendors (I sure as heck ain't gonna sign it either!).

LENDER PROCESSING SERVICES - LPS, not LSI
from the press release
LPS provides technology and data used by lenders throughout the mortgage process, from origination to foreclosure. It reached a $127 million settlement with states in January to resolve claims of fraudulent practices related to foreclosures.

LSI is a dvision of LPS ...
Thier email address is lsi-lps.com (check out their website). So for all practical purposes, I believe LSI will be joined at the hips with FNF when the merger is completed.

Apologies John.
You're right. I haven't had the opportunity to work with LSI, so wasn't familiar with them. I just looked at their website on SC, and it's right there in big bold letters at the top of the page: A division of Loan Processing Services.
