Internet Explorer Help Please
IE has stopped working on my computer. When I try to find it in my programs it does not show up, but when I try to download it says IE is already installed, update could not complete. Does anyone have ideas as to what is wrong? And no, google has not been my friend for the 6 hours Thanks in advance

While you waiting for a better answer
Have you tried to turn off your computer, actually unplug it and start up again? Works for me for a lot of my 'issues'

yes I have alread done that. thanks
I followed all the help items I can find. I find it so odd that it does not even show in my list of programs. I'm using windows 7 32 bit, by the way.

Restore your computer to a previous time when IE was not a problem. Always works for me.

John Thank You. That worked. I found that at 2.39AM
IE 11 had been installed and apparently was not working. I only find it listed for Windows 7 86 bit, which is odd, but anyway I have IE 10 back and working like a charm. I guess now I need to go disable automatic updates or I'll end up with IE 11 again????
Thank You everyone for the messages and help. I love having all of you for support.

sure enough, I went to Windows Updates
and listed there as an update was IE 11 for Windows 7. I've disabled auto updates for now.
Thanks Again to all of you.

Re: sure enough, I went to Windows Updates
I do not allow automatic updates on any of the software. I do accept being notified that updates are available. Then I pick and choose those that I wanted updated. Eliminates this type of problem. JMHO

Re: sure enough, I went to Windows Updates
I allow automatic downloads but manually install them so I can view first. Just uncheck what you don’t want installed.
