Landsel Title
Has anyone had trouble lately getting paid by Landsel? I have never had a problem in the past but when I inquired about payment I was told "I will pass your email on to the owner and he will contact you". Of course I haven't heard from him.

No, but it seems to be a trend
I have a few TC's now paying late and friends who are having to hunt down money from big TC's. What is up with that?

Guess I will start checking out whose bonding these title companies and go after them if they don't pay. This is getting to be rediculous that we are all working our butts off for these companies and then they sc**w us.

Another reason not to sign the SPW NNA Code of
Conduct 7.7. Collection of Fee from Contracting Company The Certified Signing Specialist will not attempt to collect on a nonpaying account without first establishing that the contracting company has failed to fulfill its contractual obligations.
Now how are you supposed to verify that?????

Wonderful news. I did one in November and have not been paid.
Thing is that I am going to Gahanna, Ohio tomorrow for Christmas. I just sent an email that I am willing to come into there office to pick up my check. We will see what their response is.

Re: Another reason not to sign the SPW NNA Code of
I have found that a lot of title companies are owned by attorneys. There was one instance about a year ago that I had to threaten the owner with calling the state Bar Assoc. and letting them know that they were not paying their closers for work done. There were several other colleagues of mine who had not been paid by them either.
Long story short, I had a check overnighted to me the next day.

Please let us know what you find. I have written to the SOS of Ohio and asked if title companies are bonded and if so, how we can find out who their bonding company is so we can file a complaint against their bond. Don't know if it can be done or not, but at least I can try. Will let everyone know what I find out from them.
