Any one experience reduction of calls from Title Co. and middle man? I am in S FL and last two months the stream is very thin.....What's going on?

I am in Boca area, and has been terrible here since August. I believe in our area, the amount of bank owned properties is almost zero to none until banks decide to release more of their inventory. I think lenders are holding out for the best price and not flooding the market like in the past, as slowly market prices are going up, as is the demand for a good deal from investors willing to pay cash. Refi market not so good either as rates are going up and also qualifying is harder. Good luck.

I thought it's just me. Thank you. I e mailed the biggest middle man company I work with and the auto reply said they all are on vacation, so I figure no signings to schedule, no workers needed.....they let them take long unpaid vacation. Wow!

I'm up in Lake Worth and it's been very slow since September. I had 37 in August, 12 in September, 5 in October and none in November. So far in December, it's been just 2. The refi market is very quiet and purchases are down. Some of the SS are pushing down fees and often it's just not worth it to go out. We had the same thing around 2009 and then things rebounded. Also, a lot of newbies came in and are willing to work for nothing. They'll soon find out that they're losing money and go elsewhere. It's happened before and it will happen again. Keep the faith.

There's a major slowdown everywhere---higher rates, new
regulations, etc. If you followed this forum, you'd be aware that many notaries have gone on to other endeavors.

Re: There
Yes, it has slowed way down here as well. Receiving no calls from TS for over a month now which really shocked me. They said they are extremely slow everywhere ...except NY. Interesting. I also agree with you about the newbies working for low money with the middle man companies and the scamful companies as well. Perhaps they are busy....but I will not work like that.
