Taking Assignments from Title Source From Your Smartphone.

I just downloaded the app for my iPhone. Have any of you accepted assignments from them with you phone? I have an Iphone5. I 'll rather get the phone calls.

It works very well; quick and efficient. Get more business that way.

I'd also like to know. I'm not even sure what happens when you're notified. I saw one today that I'd missed that had apparently popped up earlier in the day. It was really by accident that I even saw it on my notification page. I just happened to be clearing out notifications.

I think it's an AWESOME App

Everything is done directly from the app with the exception of printing the docs. You can accept the signing, call the contact, get directions, and update the status. I'm thrilled with the effort TSI put into this. I've had other companies try similar things, but nothing as advanced as this.

Title Source has a jump on today's technology EXCELLENT!

I read an article in INC magazine about the BOX company. The creator and owner was awarded INC's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year...Aaron Levie. His company's cloud based app, was the first of its kind which was specifically created for the consumer or business savvy individuals who wanted to share large files where ever they were without going to an actual PC and downloading onto a disc, usb drive, or logging into a secured company server. (He created this while in college in 2005 I believe) All one has to do, is download the app on their electronic device like a smart phones, iphone, tablets, and laptops (the latter device I'm afraid will soon be extinct...)

Point is, Title Source has the same jump on technologically, and kudos to them for seeing this vision!

They saw how we NSA's, well at least some of us, are getting more technologically advance with our business using smart phones and tablets now, (even though some of us are still learning new crap about their devices, like moi) and are providing the means to help US get a jump on our competition by accepting jobs via these particular electronic devices.

another opinion

I think it's a horrible way to schedule. Using a phone while driving is bad enough, but reading texts and responding while driving is an accident waiting to happen. How many notaries are put at risk, while only one gets the job? Hunger games.

Re: another opinion

Once upon a time, there was a young person to pump our gas at the gas stations and someone came up with the idea of letting drivers pump their own gas. Someone said..."I think it's a horrible idea". Then again, someone decided to allow phone calls to go directly to someone else without going through a "switch board operator. Someone said..."I think it's a horrible idea". What about the time that crazy thing which came along that allowed someone to heat food without even turning on an oven!!!Again, someone said...."I think it's a horrible idea". Now we can't imagine life without these luxuries. I need this convenience. It really makes my life much easier...Don't have to "text and drive" to love the technology...just saying.

Re: another opinion

get a car that has Bluetooth in it.
That way you hear all texts, alerts, Emails & can do the same with just pushing a button on the wheel.

Carol, Leslie and friends

I do not use the phone when I drive except the bluetooth capability which means I can keep my eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.
I have the cell set to vibrate as well as ring and that way I get the "message" that there is a message quickly. Keep the phone on the table in sight or on your desk and you can react quickly.
Of course, keep the phone out of sight during a closing,
Hope this helps with your questions?

Re: Carol, Leslie and friends

I like the TS app in general..But I wish we could set our own notification sound to it..I have to have the phone within reach to be able to see it when it pops up I barely hear it.. I call it my "Beat the clock game" The notice does go out to other notaries and its whomever answers quickest gets the job..

If you accept the job it goes into your schedule and you can cllick on it and shows you the location..I like that..Right after accepting you do get a confirmation email..

I like that we can reply and do the completion report right from the app. If only I can clear the appointment when Im done instead of waiting for them to clear it.

Re: Spoke to a TS rep.

I just had a conversation with a TS rep. She said you will still talk to a scheduler now, but eventually the system will be fully automated using smartphone technology. I called them and expressed my concerns about safety and notaries picking up the phone while driving to get an order. They make you agree to a safety waiver and TS warn you not to pick up the phone while driving, but in reality some notaries will do the opposite, and that is a big safety concern for me. You can contact TS and voice your concern at (888) 784-2523 or [e-mail address].

Re: Spoke to a TS rep.

Have you received the app yet? Today is supposed to be the first day it will be working here.
I am still confused as to how you get your notification that a signing is available in your area? I had downloaded the app a couple of weeks ago and received an email yesterday stating it would be in force starting today.

Re: Spoke to a TS rep.

In my case..The app pops open and states there is an appointment available..If you see it you click on it to accept or decline..
It doesnt make a lot of noise as you cant adjust the sound..On the app there is a little star that is on the icon if there is a closing available..You have to be logged in and the app wil keep you logged in for a week..then you must log in again..that part is a pain..

After you accept..it will ask you if you are sure you want to accept? If you do it will then move into your schedule and you will receive a confirmation. You can look at the details from the app..I hope this helps..Its not that hard..If you need help PM..me

These are Take It or Leave It assignments!!!

Do any of you get text assignments now offering you $60 or $75 for signings in your area and the only information you get is a zip code? With only an ""accept" or "decline" button???

I get these from SigningTRAC all the time, and you know what, I don't answer them. So stop drooling or the TC app, and think about it, for starters:

* This and other companies will save money because they don't have to call you and negotiate your fee with you. Great, huh?

* This obviously allows them to drive down the fees and some of your competitors will do loans for pennies.

*The only time they will call you and pay YOUR fee, is when that can't get anyone else to do it for $60. Oh, yes, I have take loans from Signing Trac when they call and meet my fee; and no, I don't like being at the bottom of the barrel.

* The text is not going to tell you the size of package, # of signers, or if there are faxbacks, etc? Still want to accept that assignment?

*Its not about convenience for you, its potentially more dangerous for you on the road.

Think about it.

It's my understanding with this TS app that you will

get the text and your fee that's on file will be honored - so negotiation is required because they already know they're going to pay the fee you've filed with them.

If you accept the job with the new app, it will be followed by a confirmation with your standard fee on it.

That's how I understood it to work. No $60 $70 bottom-dwelling deals - unless that's what you told them you'd accept when you signed up with them.

I've accepted assignments from them via the app

My fee remains the same. They don't lowball me. It's the same fee that we agreed to up-front. I've even done a reverse since that time (which I charge more for). They gave me my fee for that as well. There is no tricks here. Just a really cool way to get it done.
