Year end hysteria! for an outofstate purchase investment

Docs supposed to be to me so I can get to an 8:30 am signing. No docs. The guy lives in the middle of nowhere.

I get a call at 8am that docs won't be ready until late morning. Okay. Call me, I'll be closer to the borrower by then.

at noon, I get a call, can I do 1pm, yes, I can, but no docs again. Finally at 1:15 I get docs, and I meet the borrower at a local hotel where he is doing Rotary lunch. How do I find you, I text, I have your docs? No word, after six texts and two phone calls, I realize his phone is turned off.

I get into the hotel dining room, and ask about six people "do you know who !!! is, yes, he's over there.

I go pull him out, we run to the lobby and sit and sign docs for 20 minutes, because I am now going to be late for my 3pm on the way home.

This had to be signed yesterday, just had to be, and to be deposited into FEDEX for funding on Monday.

If it's so danged important, Mr. LO, why don't we have documents on time, huh?

Crazy day, just of the crazy ones of a number of them in one day will send you to the moon.

Drives me nuts when it's like this! I have an 8 am signing that was scheduled 4 days ago. Borrower had Title Source call me and tell me that I must be on time because her husband has to be at work at 9 am; no problem for me....but guess what nearly 7 am and no docs. Guess this isn't happening today.

Let's call it the Texas scramble! I know what you mean.

Yesterday UPS lost a set of purchase documents between SB and LA. I'm going out this morning to sign that one up again! I have a refi for the same borrower, cash out to do the cash purchase docs.

It's the same ole, same ole. BTW, I have my own script for this one.

If it's a chase, they are running extremely late. I got mine yesterday morning 1.5 hrs. before signing. Highly unusual for TS. But, I had emailed them the day before, and once at 1:00 am in the morning asking if this signing was going to go.

I got an email at exactly 8:00 their time, saying yes, docs were on the way. They already had HUD approval 24 hrs. prior, but no docs.

Just make sure you keep in touch with the notary division. they are so good at keeping in communication with you and updating you along the way.

Yes, it is a Chase loan, did get the documents but not in time, so it's rescheduled for tonight.
