Background checks
I don't beleave that background checks (from $100 to $150)are the responsibility or the Notary if a company rquires it than I feel it is their job to have it done.

I don't know about that. IMO a bgc is important
to have & is a good credential in the industry. I don't have anything to hide, and don't have a problem with it. The cost is very reasonable here on NR, and it's the only one I'll go with. I don't know why some just can't get that this is self-employment & our responsibility to pay the costs of doing business. It's all tax deductible expenses.

So you are willing to pay out $100 - $150 for each SS or TC you do business with? I am not about to pay as much or more than I am making on a job for another background check. They all seem to want you to pay for "their" BC but won't guarantee more than the one job they are sending you at the time. Or they want you to pay for the BC before they send any jobs your way.
Nope, I'm not gonna pay to work.

Ditto. If they are not willing to accept what BGC I've already paid for, then I can't accept their almost always low fee for one or two jobs a year.

No, I said that the bgc from here on NR is the only
one I'm going to do!! No need for multiple bgc's--it's just a money-maker for the cos. that are asking for it.
