I will take this opportunity to ask why people often post that they sent someone a PM, like that's the only way they will ever know they have a PM waiting.

When someone sends somebody a PM, a notice will appear in the recipient's e-mail that they have a new PM wiating for them on Notary Rotary. So, if they're logged on and can see the post on Notary Forum, they can also certainly see the automatic notice in their e-mail; therefore, it's not necessary to tell them (or the rest of the world) they have a PM.

Just curious if there's more to this ...?

Oh.

Well, that's silly not to use the PM notification option, IMO. (Guess it's not as "automatic" as I thought.) Then again, maybe some people don't even know the option is there to use!

I have a notice sent to my phone via text message. If you have unlimited text, that's a good choice.

You get over it. I just asked a simple question because I didn't understand why people would post for all the world to see that they sent a PM. Just didn't make sense. Fortunately, Carol was nice enough to explain how it might work ...or not work.

In any case, if your message were so all-fired important, why didn't you just call her? Or e-mail her?
