Citimortgage - Or
the Keystone Cops.
The same lender who was the topic that created a minor hmm whatever yesterday has stuck another thorn in my side with another quality issue 6 years after the first. I don't believe it. Lets see. On the acknowledgement page of the mortgage, they nicely filled in all the information. I changed MI to FL, crossed out husband and wife after borrowers names and initialed (not my concern and we don't do that here in Florida). Well, Citimortgage took exception and said I didn't state the borrowers marital status on my acknowledgement. Did they even wonder why I might have done that? OMG. Really guys? Anybody of Rick Scott's phone number?
Is parking on the wrong side of the street a quality issue? Brown shoes?

Actually it is more ridiculous than I thought
I found the faxback. I didn't cross out and initial on the notary page. I had to enter the signers names but I did not put in their marital status.... Who does that? Maybe in Michigan... Not in FL. That's Quality Issue? These are crazy people...

I agree, you didn't do anything wrong. Many states don't even allow you to include marital capacity in a notarial cert. I would pull up your handbook and find a sample of how you are to do the notarization and send it to them, it should mention that you just put the names in, period, not that you are supposed to mention marital capacity! They need to know this is wrong so that they don't count it against the next notary who is doing his/her job correctly.

Re: Actually it is more ridiculous than I thought
I actually answered their Quality Issue. The lender may be in charge of the docs. Not the notarizations. Let him calll the governor. I'm done with these people. Here is the kicker. It was a non-recission property. They had 39 pages faxed to them. For 24 hours I never heard a word back. Did anyone even look at the package. They must have funded. I had to call to see if I could drop. The next day they get the package and then they see it. Not that it would have made a difference. What?
