Okay - There's a fever on this board and the only prescription is "More cowbell." Oh...wait, that was for Don't Fear the Reaper.

What I meant to say was that are a lot of folks here who may be great notaries, but they are desperately in need of business training on the basics of how to run a business.

Excellent resource for anyone thinking of startup business and/or has never run a business.

My sister has run her day spa for 25 years, looking for an SBA loan to expand and taking a six-week course on how to develop her SBA loan application with business plan through a group called Women's Economic Ventures in Ventura county. It is an excellent program.

I suggest people seek this service many times when he or she asks questions that indicate the lack of business knowledge and try to get me to educate them for free.

SCORE is also very good.

They have mentors and also classes that are available.
