Global Notary

I have had like 3 calls from them this week. One a little while ago to see if I was available for 1pm tomorrow. I said yes. They said this is a refi with edocs and faxbacks and our fee is $60. I said SIXTY?? My base fee is XXX and an extra XX for the faxbacks. Okay I will put that in and if it gets approved I will call you back. Needless to say I never hear back from them.

SIXTY? For a 15 minute drive each way, printing 2 sets of docs and faxbacks. Are you SERIOUS? Obviously there must be notaries around here in NH that do that for $60. So please my competitors call them immediately and tell them you will do all of their $60 refis so that they don't waste my time anymore.

I wouldn't do a refi in my own house for $60. Maybe you can call SigningStream (Home Signings) and give it to them and they can get a $50 notary and pay them in 85 days?

Correction... They can call SS aka HS to find a $50 notary and pay NEVER. They will just shut down shop and open another company without paying the notary!

It would be great if you would go to SC and give them a 1 star rating for offering a lowball fee. If more NSA's did this it will bring their ratings down to 1 or 2 stars. It is the only way I know to warn everyone. I started doing this yesterday and immediately 2 other notaries provided the same rating for the same company. Good way for you to give them the message not to call.

Yes I will do that. Normally I wait until I do work for the company before I rate them but You are right about the offer. If I do work them and they improve or do "good" by me then I can modify it.

They used to pay very well. I get calls from them and I ask my normal fee, and they usually comply.

Received call to do a purchase with fax backs for $70.00. I told them that my base fee is $XXX. They agreed. When I received the package, it was 171 pages. I called back and informed them that an increased fee of $XX was due because of the size of the package. Agreed. They called every 20 minutes. Did you print? Are you on your way? Are you at the signing yet? Did the Borrowers sign? Large package, 1st time home buyers (plus the buyers were late) resulted in a 2 hour closing. Had to rush to my next appointment. More calls. When are you going to fax back? Can you get someone to fax for you? We need them right away. Finally get back home. I don't see a listing of the documents to fax back. Called them. They want the entire package of 171 pages faxed back (something they failed to reveal initially). Told them another $XX was due. OMG. What a PITA.

That's ridiculous - 171 page fax back. You must have had to send multiple faxes or do you have a fax that can handle 171 pages at once?

I only do them when they meet my ridiculous fee. lol which is once inn a blue moon.

However the actual faxbacks are listed in the confirmation and its only about 30-50 pgs. Its still alot to faxback thats why my fee is ridiculous...They dont call me alot before the signing. But I get about 2 calls afterwards usually 2-3 hours afterwards if I havent faxed anything back at that time.

They call me about once a week and I tell them my fee is $1XX. Usually they meet it. I went over my cell phone minutes last month because they called me so much or I had to call them and I was on hold forever. Going to start charging an extra $XX for phone usage.

They pay like clockwork though. I don't mind working for them when they call and will meet my fee.
