How old is old??
I had a borrower look at me and say, " you should be retired." How old is old when doing mobile notary work? Anyone want to say how old they are?

Many of us are at retirement age, but when one loves what they do for a living its not easy to give up. I say when im carried out feet first I will stop working. Don't let some nosey homeowner frazzle you.

Signing dox keeps the marbles lubed?
I'll be 66 this August. I intend to keep signing as long as I'm physically and mentally able. I'm convinced staying active, doing something meaningful, is a key to maintaining one's marbles. I've seen the results of people not staying active and it's not a pretty sight. I applaud you all!

Re: Signing dox keeps the marbles lubed?
57 here. My mom went back to school at 70 and got her Bachelors Degree in early childhood. Now, at 77 teaches full time at an elementary school. The kids love her. She also works 2 nights a week at a local nursing home as a receptionist. After my father died, she just couldn't sit home all day or night. She finally fulfilled her life long dream of being a teacher.

You are so right, Jessica!
Some notaries 75+ years old can hardly wait to for their next signing, while some 15-20 years younger think it's inappropriate to be knocking on people's doors even at their (younger) age.
BTW: I'm so old I don't know what STFU means, nor can my feebled imagination come up with anything (except the FU part ...)

I am 48 and my father who is also a Notary/Signing Agent in the Cleveland area is 74. I hope to be as mentally sharp as he is when I am 74. Although I feel a whole lot older at the end of the month.
I am also a freelancing Certified Paralegal so I keep myself quite busy with work.
Also being a mother to 3 adult children (22, 23 and 24) who thank goodness do not live at my home and one 3 year old grandson keeps me on my toes and alive as well.

Yikes! Yeah, wouldn't we all like to be retired, but I think that's primitive view of life...life begins at 60 I think. I'm 66. I still do all my own yard work, trim my own trees, hike and bike, when I have time, no way am I sitting around gathering moss and cob webs...gotta make the most of the time we have, every moment is sweet. I think we're fortunate to do the work we do as well as we do it.
I'll do it until I can't connect the dots...
