Mac's and printers
Hi, I operate a Mac computer and am looking to upgrade my printer. Right now I have an HP 8600 dual tray. It is very very slow. Someone recommended a Brother dual tray but when I look online it sounds like with a Mac it is not possible to program the printer to differentiate between letter and legal size paper. The HP doesn't do that either which obviously is a major slow down which is why if I am going to upgrade I would like to do it right and have that capability. Any other Mac users out there who are happy with their printer and if it has dual tray with differentiating capability? Thanks!

Mac isn’t compatible with the ‘Print by PDF” option in Adobe software. Glenn wrote several articles telling how to resolve the issue by running a dual-boot system. If I remember correctly, Boot Camp is program he recommended.

The issue resides within the software code for Adobe Acrobat.
Bootcamp is fine, but we prefer to use VM Ware and run Windows 98 in emulation mode on our Mac computers.

If your printer is an inkjet it is not the best for this business. You should read the many messages about printers. Then get yourself a good refurbished 2 tray, high speed Laser printer.
