Re: Missing ack.......
Trigger finger is a little quick.... Title is asking for ack that was misplaced. Do I just send individual ack, or use copy of the orig they sent? tia

Have you utilized the search feature for this?
It has been discussed ad nauseum throughout the years of this forum.
Also, this is Notary Public 101 - if you have to ask this question, you really should go to your handbook and read it through about 20 times until you know it cold.
Not meaing to be harsh, but this is really a question that you should know before notarizing documents for the public.

In defense of the original poster, the procedures differ by
state and not all states even address this issue. However, I'm most certain you cannot use a copy, although I recall seeing where someone restamped and dated the copy. I would call one of your WA notaries or your SOS for the answer. And you didn't lose it, so if you need to re-sign in person you should receive a fee to go back.

I sincerely doubt that the recorders office would accept a copy of an acknowledgement, "certified" or otherwise. They want to see a wet signature, not a copy.
And, if you are going to have to go back to the person whose signature you notarized, why wouldn't you fill out a new acknowledgement???
It seems to me that someone is making a mountain out of a molehill here. Remember, Notarize, don't analyze.
