They call me. Often. When they meet my fee (about 75% of the time, and I don't lower it for anything) I'm happy to sign for them. I believe their employees are told to start at $60 across the board for everyone, add edocs fees. They DO shop around, but I've never had them cancel after agreeing to meet my fee. They pay regularly, without fail. The hand-holding gets old, but they get top-drawer service just like all of my clients. I always can tell if it's a follow up call or a request for a signing by the second thing they say: if it's a follow up, they never ask how you are. If they are trying to book you, they always ask. They are a steady source of income for me, even if they start out pitching you a low ball....eventually they either meet my fee of find someone else (or title goes to another service to get it covered)...

If this is Nations Direct in California, check SC. Almost all 1 star posts. Only a 2 star company. Met your fee, but will you get paid?

I been doing signing for them for about 3 months now and I haven't had any issues in getting paid. I even did one for $275, late on a Friday night. I got paid. But, what pisses me off about them is the low-ball $60 they start at. I have a set fee from when they FIRST CALLED ME and NEVER have I taken anything less. When I state my fee, of course they have to call me back. Lately, they haven't been calling me back. But, I get them towards the end of month when they are pegging and willing to pay more. And because they do pay on-time I do manage to take them.

Paid like clockwork. Closings before the 15th are paid end of following month. After the 15th, it's the next month. I'll need money then, and I can count on it being there. They DO try to lowball you, but coordinators will try to meet your fee. The low ratings I think are generated from the initial call

Their name shows up here all the time. They are the
ultimate low-ballers. Check SC. Also, they now also use the name of Global Notary.

But Wait! There's more!
There are two companies of similar names, but of opposite identifying characteristics and operational behavior. Nations Direct (Anaheim Hills, CA) is the one that has several adverse remarks in SC. From my previous experiences, many months ago, I believe those remarks were justly deserved and fitting. Nations Direct Title Agency (Ormond Beach, FL) is the opposite in many ways (again, from my experiences). I hope the FL folks will call me again, soon, and often.

The ones in Florida pay well. They have bigger packages but they will pay extra for size.

I have very similar comments about Global. I do not have issues with either Global or Nations Direct. I would stand by them with 3 stars--average. Pay regularly, meet my fee after getting approval from the higher ups, but require considerable hand-holding. I have my own ebay-style system for awarding points, based on fees offered, time to pay, communication, PITA factor...

If they meet your fee, watch out.
I used to work for them a couple years ago. They'd meet my fee, then send another notary without canceling with me. They'd send us both docs but tell the other one to get there at a different time. I'd arrive at a closing in progress with docs in my hand, only to learn that Nations found someone cheaper and decided to stick it to me by letting me print and drive--and NEVER PAYING SINCE THERE WA NO SIGNING DONE.
Haven't heard from them in a couple years--I was sure they'd gone out of business.

Just found out NNA no longer has TEA jobs through Exostar. Exostar has contracted with Nation's Direct to do them. Used to get $35+ for each TEA assignment and sometimes had 3 or 4 ID proofings at one location. I used to fill in the slow times with these assignments and now there will not be any, as I refuse to sign up with Nations Direct. I did notify Exostar regarding Nations Direct rating here.
