PrinterS problems...any help? Anyone have an idea?
Printed a few pages of a pdf package. Then it just quit. Like it wasn't communicating. Sent to other printer. No go. Reboot. Tried both printers again. Nope. Turned printers off for a couple of minutes. Rebooted again. Nope. Used System Restore. Nope. My computer guru got 1 whole 1 pg. Word doc to print on one printer--once. Now neither printer will even do that again. Computer is running W7 and is about a year old. Printers older, but haven't had a lick of trouble with either until this happened. Don't think it's the computer. Also don't think it's the printer. The multifunction copies. Ran a trouble shooter---and that says everything is just fine. But, sheesh, it HAS to be something!
It's after midnight and I'm going to bed now and hope that a miracle occurs tomorrow morning--or that someone has an idea of what it might be.

Did you recently update Adobe reader? If so you might want to remove it and reinstall.

There's always a possibility that it's a corrupt file. I've run into a couple of those over the years. You might try print something else to see if your equipment works OK with other documents.
If the problem happens in the same place each time, another thing to try is to select pages starting somewhere after that point and see if you have any better luck. Hope you find some answers!

Make sure the printer is defaulted to the either printer and not adobe, also, try to uninstall your printer and reinstall them, if that dont work, try updating your printer drivers. And last but not least if that dont work...scream, toss the printers out the windows and go to office max...Just kidding and Just a suggestion. Good Luck I hope you get it working!

Maybe they're just madder than hell at ya! They've gone on strike. I hate being the only IT person in my organization. It drives me absolutely nuts! Good luck with that and keep us posted.

It sounds like corrupt files.

My next step would be to check to see if any files are corrupt or missing.
I would say uninstall and reinstall printer driver, but it is TWO printers. Sounds like maybe a corrupt file relating to the spooler.

Not corrupt files.
Took 3 pkgs. that will not print on either of my printers to pc guru and they printed just fine on his equipment this morning. My printers (even the ol' inkjet mfc that I use for faxing--but haven't even used for a week or better) are just not talking to the PC. No recent updates to Adobe. Too busy today to try uninstall/reinstall of Adobe, both printers. And if that doesn't work--- Ran malware & virus scans overnight and everything is wonderful. NOT! Arrrgghhh~~

Re: Not corrupt files.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software. This happened with my printer and it solved the problem.

Be sure to check all cables. Usually when printers stop communicating to your PC its your ports, cables, or it just needs to be un-installed/re-installed in a new port.
