Re: RE: HP2430tn
I think this says a lot about you and your persistence, and it also speaks volumes about the company we bought our machines from. I will definitely buy from them again. Unlike you, my printer arrived quickly, there were no broken pieces and all I had to do was buy two cords, plug it in and turn it on. It works perfectly. Which is why I was shocked to read about all the trouble you had. I'm glad your money was refunded.

Re: RE: HP2430tn
I really believe that it's a good printer. It may only be this one thing that's wrong with it. They wanted me to ship it back on my dime to see what's wrong with it. Not worth it to ship it back. If it had been packed properly with the drawers taped shut, it probably wouldn't have happened.

I think this is childish. Goodness, Carolyn had a good
point that you didn't agree with. No need for this waste of space.

Nobody is forcing you to read it. Michele/Al actually liked
the way the company handled this. I think it's something that everybody might want to know about this company.

Ridiculous childish answer just to prove your "point". n/m

Thanks, Shoshana
Admittedly, Discount Electronics is no expert when it comes to packing. Peanut styrofoam was embedded in every corner and crevice. Nonetheless, mine works great. Just fired it up, and it's been very cooperative. (Well, to be truthful, under Preferences, Paper Quality/Paper Options it's stuck on Legal so I have to change it all the time to Letter. Boo! Can't figure out how to make it permanent).
Anyway, it's found a new home, and we're all happy. Glad that those whose printers didn't work got their $$ back ... as it should be.

Re: Thanks, Shoshana
I had that problem at first and downloaded the instructions for the printer online. (when all else fails read the instructions) You have to designate the paper size for the tray with the printer menu button, not through the computer preferences

Desktopfull, you just answered another question I had.
Changing paper size. Thanks. If I get stuck I'll let you know.
