Sounds like a set up to me!
I get a call from a man who identified himself as David Smith, at 9:56 p.m. His first question was where are you located? I explained that I am in so and so county and I am mobile, and asked what he needed. He asked me 4 more times very angrily, where was I located because he was coming to me because he needed a form notarized for his bank. Again, I explain that I am mobile and my husband and I will gladly come to meet him. He hung up and called from a block number. Ok, here is the thing, that name was to generic, banks don't open to 9 or so on Saturday, so why couldn't it wait? He claimed he found me on the internet, so I advertise 24/7 and list a PO Box. You can't demand that I tell you where I am.

Are there businesses in your area that offer notary services?
In Florida we have AMSCOT Financial (www.amscotfinancial.com). They offer check cashing services, payday loans, tax return preparation, and notary services. Many of their offices are open 24 hours, so when I get calls for one or two notarizations and the caller does not need mobile service, I suggest either AMSCOT Financial or The UPS Store.
I will sometimes agree to meet with clients at one of several businesses near my home (Barnes & Noble, Chick-fil-A, or Starbucks), but many times I am too busy or it is just not convenient to meet with the signer.

I'm not sure, but if he was sincere, he'll figure something out.

Yes, sounds fishy to me. Gotta be careful.
