Thumb prints?
Would anyone know if these involve property but aren't deeds or those listed in thumb print required docs, would I need a thumb print?
Document titles are: Affidavit By Plaintiff: “ That I am the owner and in possession of the following real property….” It involves clearing a title for property in Colorado declaring I am the sole heir in my family for the property
Verified Motion for Default Judgement: (Same issue as above)
Thanks!!

IMO, I would get a thumbprint because the document
indicates, in your example above, "real property". If the Verified Motion for Default Judgement mentions real property, then this too, IMO, would require a thumbprint.

Do you have a Notary Public Handbook?
"If the document to be notarized is a deed, quitclaim deed, deed of trust, or other document affecting real property, or a power of attorney document, the notary public shall require the party signing the document to place his or her right thumbprint in the journal." Gvn't Code 8206. (G) pg 27
"A notary public wo fails to obtain a thumbprint, as required by Seciton 8206, from a party signing a document shall be subject to a civil penalty not exceeding two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500)...." Gvn't Code 8214.23 (a) pg 33

Additional information in your journal such as phone numbers, birthdates, the person requesting the notary and detailed comments regarding signature issues are not required, however they are extra protection for the notary. I always ask for a thumb print.
