A request for a "simple" refi

As opposed to what? A difficult refi? How do they know it will be simple? Have they met the borrowers? Have they been to their home? No, no and no they haven't even seen the docs yet. I'm sure SS's throw that "simple" word out there as justification to offer less than fair fees. Just tongue in cheek thoughts this morning- I hope ya'll are having a good day Smile

I "feeeel" your pain! We all need to price our services appropriate to the circumstances! So, I'm in Washington State signing a simple, 160 page, VA refi for a property located in GA. The state of GA requires a witness in addition to the notary, and a pre-signing telephone discussion at the table with a GA attorney regarding a very creepy document in the package, which waives certain borrower rights under default circumstances. Adding to my aggravation is an undisclosed multiple page fax back requirement. I'm simple indeed? All of this whoop-la caused me to under price the signing, because I failed to ask enough questions going into the deal.

"Simple" is code word for "You're going to have a tough time with this one but we want you to do it for less".

If it is not disclosed at our initial converation, it

Opens the door to renegotiation. My response to their confirmation gives notice to that fact. If a repair man pays me a visit, then informs me he needs to order parts to accomplish the task, he is not going to do it for free!
