Any expert faxers out there
I have issues faxing and I have no idea why. Sometimes my fax machine will fax fine, then others it will only allow me to fax a few pages at a time (if I am lucky). Do you have any ideas to resolve this?

Sometimes a slow fax has more to do with the receiving end than the sending end. If the two machines don't communicate well, you have issues.

It can also be related to line condition issues on either end as well. There are a LOT of variables. It could be user error, machines, issues, phone lines, anything... you need somebody who can diagnose it physically.

I have an older commercial Canon 3710 strictly for this ...
as such, at 75 pgs scan per minute, if it cannot communicate with the FAX number (15 redials per FAX), 95% of the time, it's because the hiring parties have failed to "refill" their paper trays. Sorry guys, Fact Not Fiction

A few years ago, I had that same issue and it was due to using Vonage (VoIP). That's when I switched to scanning instead.

I know not everyone is in a position to afford the
equipment, but I bought a sheet-fed scanner so I can scan & email. It's so much faster. I still have a traditional fax, but rarely use it now. I am looking to get rid of my land-line down the road.

I am going to have to do something different. I have an old scanner that only scans 1 page at a time, so I ended up scanning all the pages. Not fun, but better than nothing. The fax machine was not cooperating.

Fax not cooperating
The old machines really slow you down (I have one also); but really what's worse to me is the time lost. I had a 5:00 signing tonight which went smoothly, then had to return to home office to fax - which meant I missed the 7 pm fedex pickup.
I had a 7:30 engagement and dropped pckg after. Seems like a ridiculous waste.

Re: I know not everyone is in a position to afford the
The problem with emailing is that unless you are using an encryption program to email the docs you are sending over email are unencrypted unlike faxing. Not good for faxbacks of loan documents.
