Backdating

I did a Refi back in Nov and received an email from one of the parties saying they 'lost' the DOT. They want me to go back and have it resigned. I looked at the acknowledgement and it looks as tho i have to fill in the date....so is this considered backdating? the Document they sent has the original date of the closing...

The date of the DOT doesn't matter. If the borrowers

re-sign, you will notarize the signatures for that date, not the original.

Notarize the date the borrower(s) appear and sign in front of you.
