Staples
Part of my post from Msg #409237, (long but I believe helpful read).
My main printer is a new in October 2011, MFC-8480DW. This printer in normally $399. Staples had an instant $150 off and I got an extra $50 just for turning in any old printer, ink or laser even DOA, didn't matter. I had a 10 year old printer that didn't work any longer and was procrastinating on recycling it, glad I procrastinated. When I called to check to be sure they stocked it, I asked if on top of all those savings could I still use my rewards, surprisingly they said yes. I elected to use my rewards toward legal paper instead and got the 8480 out the door for about $230. That is a very good deal for a MFC.
Staples has these deals every so often, you just have to watch.

amazon
The printer at Amazon for 329.00 is a Bro-HL 5470dwt, not a HL6180dwt.

Re: amazon
You know you are right! I guess I got the a special deal on the 6180. Same thing happen with the 5370DW I bought on ebay for $60 and then the seller raised the price to $175.

Thanks for all your input, but I think I'll stay with my original purchase. Maybe add the 2nd tray at another time, maybe on sale.

Re: Brother printer HL6180.......not so fast...my thoughts
"I love Office Depot's extended warrantee's". I get one every time I buy a machine at Office Depot. At any time during the warrantee period I am unhappy with my printer they refund the full price purches of the pribnter. I have used the warrantee 3 times now. My printer before this one, cost me 225.00 my warrantee cost me 24.00. I bought a new printer for 295.00 + warrantee of 32.00. I got the full refund of 225.00 form the old printer making my new printer $127.00. My printer is HP Pro 400 M401dn. I will get another warrantee on my new printer of 295.00 when I have worn out this printer and that is before the 2 years are up to buy my next printer. I just think that is the best deal out out there. We use our machines so much that we burn them out every few years.

Oops, I was typing, hit a button and the message disappeared.
The LT5400 is stuck at a base price of $142. The "t" at the end of DWT makes it dual tray wireless. That makes a total of around $370.

I paid $349 on sale when it first came out but it was sort of a loss leader and I was put on a waiting list. I still say if you can get it for under that to snatch it up.
I timed printing two sets of 115 pages and it took 5 minutes. seems too fast for whats its' rated. It can put out some ozone though when blasting away. Opened a window.
