I feel ya Clem! I felt that way the last two days - fortunately, got a good nights sleep and feel back to normal today. Be good to yourself today.

The best in my Hubby comes out during EOM and I am glad to receive it - came home one night and he had dinner ready and candles lit in the living room and kitchen! Other nights/days he keeps the kitchen cleaned up. He is a god guy always, but I especially appreciate his kindness during EOM.

Re: Coffee enema to the rescue!

HAHA! My RN wife keeps telling me one day she's going to bring home an IV bag with a stand so she can set up a drip for my black coffee tar which I make.

Re: Coffee enema to the rescue!

Ryan, that's how my husband makes it too! It smells like burning tires!!! Consequently I don't drink coffee unless I get it at a restaurant or latte stand!

Quick tip for coffee made in this tar-like fashion.

Many moons ago I managed a Starbucks and a Community Coffee House. In New Orleans we solve this problem very simply. Pour your mug 1/4-1/2 full of milk and microwave it. (If you have an espresso machine capable of steaming and frothing, it's even better!) Once the milk is hot, pour in your coffee. You have just made Café Du Monde's world famous Café au lait. No sugar required but it can be added.

It's a win win cause I can still drink my tar and she has a "fancy" coffee.

Re: Quick tip for coffee made in this tar-like fashion.

I learned to drink tar coffee in South American where I lived for two years. When I returned to the US, I couldn't look a cup of farmer bros in the face....got to have that robust, bold stuff to get my motor running. A couple of cups in the am, I'm good to go the rest of the day...trying to wean myself off it, though, green tea has more antioxidants, not so hard on the adrenals...get my BP down a little, too.

Only if it's made with Kopi Luwak, which would probably be the ultimate irony...
