Ain't gonna be no "them" for grandkids, Saul

My daughter is 42 years old; will be 43 nine days from now. I'm only gonna see one bun come outta the oven. Looks like it will be a big one, though; 7 1/2 pounds already, with two weeks to go.

Saxy is 4'10", and she is s-o-o-o-o pregnant. You know how wide a Hummer is, seems to stretch from one side of a driving lane all the way to the other? Well, Saxy is the homo Sapiens equivalent of a Hummer, if you added about 18 inches in width to the Hummer. I swear, you couldn't fit her inside a refinery fuel storage tank. Just blow on the back of her neck when she's bent over, and she'd roll all the way to the next intersection. As if she could bend over now; she'd need an engine hoist to accomplish that.

Thank you everybody for your best wishes. The average life expectancy for a male in our country is 75.38 years, so, finally, I can say I am above average at something.

Took me long enough.

And thank all of you for your kind remembrances. Had a fabulous prime rib dinner tonight with my preggo daughter and her beloved, along with a childhood friend of my daughter who sings my songs in her gigs.

I had resolved to cut down on red meat, but when I saw the prime ribs on the grill at the restaurant, I couldn't resist. So...I ordered it medium rare, rather than rare. That way it came out hot pink, not red, and I got a great meal and still kept my resolution.
