Thank you...a girl can never be too rich, or too thin, or have to many down pillows and comforters when it's 20 degrees. Might get to mid 50s today, but cold again tonight. Electric blanket on high. Just finishing up 10 day antibiotic program for injured leg and double pneumonia I got last year, and taking AARP's 55 alive driving course for drill. Keeps insurance rates low. I might venture into the kitchen and make some vegetable soup, but for now oranges and apples and peanut butter, robust Brazilian coffee. I'm counting my blessings and just happy I don't have the horrible flu going around.

Isn't it amazing how people are willing to have you come to their homes to sign their loan docs when they are so ill? I won't mind a slower January to get past this flu epidemic, although not as bad here as in most of the country.

Just waiting for my mother to call me to remind me that 66 years ago, she and my father were driving to Seattle Naval Hospital in the worst blizzard in 40 years when they had a flat and had to call a taxi, and I was almost born in the back seat with two young hysterical parents from Sioux Falls, SD who knew nothing about nothing, except my dad had survived the Japanese bombing the USS Chicago submarine he was on in New Caledonia. They knew nothing about birthing a baby! I was the first of 7!
