I understand why people get up set with other notary accepting a low fee. I got a called for a 30 pg signing with duplicate copies for really low. I stood my ground on my fee, i take it they found someone because they didnt calk me back.

Be sure to put them in your contacts list as low pay co. Don't answer any more when they call!
Who was it?

That happened to me 3 times this week, I never got a call back. I wonder how any notary can accept $65.00 for 120 pages times two.

Don't forget you want to be paid for your time, too. When the people in the offices who are shuffling paper while staying safe and warm are being paid by the hour, we out in the field, sometimes in hazardous situations, are expected to provide the services for the cost of our expenses? Not logical to me.

I had a lady contact me the other day wanting me to draft a PoA for her since she wouldn't be present with her husband for the signing. While I can perform this task in Louisiana, I was a little put back by the request. The company, in my opinion, should have a standard form they utilize for this purpose which contains the particular verbiage they want. She stated that she would get nowhere speaking to the company and just wanted the papers drawn up and present.
I quoted her my fee for drafting the document, driving 20 miles to her, and notarizing said document. She didn't call back that day but did the next. It's not just large companies that "notary shop" for the lowest price possible; however, I'm more understanding of individuals in this tight economy than I am of large corporations.
