Laugh for the day
The SOS of two states that I know of have received requests from would be notaries wanting to know if they can have two official signatures. A shortened one for "the hundreds of loan documents they will be signing every day" and another for regular notary work. Sounds like someone is planning to be a notary so they can be a signing agent, and is dreaming if they think they will be signing hundreds of loan documents every day.

Ah, one of the requests was apparently from a notary who works for a lender. (Still don't see her having to notarize hundreds of loan documents a day!)

Why couldn't someone simply change their
name on their commission.
I went through two commissions with my full name. Thereafter, I shortened it to my regular signature which is seven letters total.

Meet the new Notary, Rob O. Signer
